This tool calculates the bandwidth of an AM signal.
Formula
The modulating signal is given by the equation
m(t) = Am cos(2π fm t)
and the carrier signal be,
c(t) = Ac cos(2π fc t)
Where,
- Am is the amplitude of the modulating signal
- Ac is the amplitude of the carrier signal
- fm is the frequency of the modulating signal
- fc is the frequency of the carrier signal
Then, the equation of Amplitude Modulated wave will be
s(t) = [Ac + Am cos(2π fm t)] cos(2π fc t)
The AM signal is shown below. The bandwidth of the signal is 2*fm
