This tool converts **Gigabit-per-second** to **Megabit-per-second**.

Gigabit-per-second is also written as Gbps or Gb/s.

1 Gbps = 1000 Mbps

**Example Calculation**

10 Gbps provides fast Ethernet data transfer capability. It is equivalent to **10,000 Mbps**. Even though it’s very fast it will not be adequate for Wi-Fi 7 which provides data rates up to **46,120 Mbps**.

**How to Convert Gbps to Mbps**

The easiest way to do this is to **multiply the number in Gbps by 1000**. 5 Gbps is then 5*1000 = 5000 Mbps. Alternatively the calculator on this page can be used.
