My colleague Dave likes his Logitech Pebble. However he has been experiencing technical issues with it lately.

I like solving technical problems and decided to help out. Fortunately I was able to help Dave.

Various solutions are documented below. Whether using a Mac, Windows, Android, or another Bluetooth device, I have outlined the steps to ensure your Logitech Pebble mouse connects smoothly.

Now let’s dive into the details and get your mouse up and running.

Pairing

How To Pair Pebble Via Bluetooth

To begin with, it’s important to understand how to pair the Logitech pebble with Mac/windows/android or any Bluetooth device. To pair your mouse successfully, please follow the steps below:

  • On the back of your Logitech pebble, you will see an LED indicator and a mode switch button below it.
  • Initially, the LED indicator flashes green. Press and hold the mode switch button for at least 3 seconds or until the indicator blinks blue quickly.
  • Now, your Logitech pebble is ready to pair. Search for Logitech pebble in the Bluetooth list of the connecting device and connect.

How To Pair Logitech Pebble Via USB Receiver

If you are using the model of the Logitech Pebble mouse that comes with a USB receiver, you can pair your mouse to the desired device through that receiver as well. Here are the steps to pair Logitech Pebble M350 mouse via the nano receiver. For this purpose:

  • Open the front covering of your Logitech M350 by removing the front plastic panel.
  • You will find a nano USB receiver inside.
  • Take that out and put the plastic cover back on.
  • Insert the receiver into the USB port of your PC/Laptop/iPad.

???? Please note that your iPad might not have a USB-A port. It might either have the lightning connector or the USB-C port. In that case, you would want to buy the USB type C to type A adapter or the lightning to type a adapter to connect your nano receiver.

  • Once the receiver is inserted successfully, all you need to do is turn your mouse and press the mode switch button right below the indicator to turn the indicator light to solid green.
  • A solid green indicator on the mouse means it is ready to use via a nano receiver.
  • You can now operate the mouse successfully.

Check Compatibility

The most recent iteration of Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), may not function with computers equipped with an older Bluetooth version (referred to as Bluetooth 3.0 or Bluetooth Classic).

Please be aware that Windows 7 computers cannot establish connections with devices employing Bluetooth Low Energy.

Ensure that your computer runs on a recent operating system, such as:

  • Windows 8 or a more recent version
  • macOS 10.10 or a newer edition

Are You Using Logitech Options?

Logitech Options and Options+ are the apps for Logitech mouse and keyboard button customization. But Logitech Pebble mice are not supported by these apps. Logitech Pebble mice are plug-and-play devices. So, if you are trying to use your Logitech Pebble in Options or Options+, it won’t work.

Pebble Not Connecting to iPad

To solve this problem follow the steps below:

  • Completely close all open apps on your iPad.
  • Now, put your Pebble in pairing mode by pressing the mode button for 3 seconds.
  • Once the blue light starts flashing rapidly, turn on the Bluetooth on your iPad and let it search for the mouse.
  • Click Connect after the mouse appears on the list of Bluetooth devices.

Are You Using a Unifying Receiver?

The unifying receiver (shown in the picture below) from Logitech works with a number of different keyboard and mouse devices. However the Pebble is not one of them. Instead it will only pair with a Nano receiver shipped with the mouse or a Bluetooth receiver.

Switching Between Devices

Since some of the Logitech Pebble mouse models support both the receiver and Bluetooth connection, you can connect your mouse to two devices at a time. One through Bluetooth and the other through the receiver.

Please be informed that you can’t connect the mouse to the two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Also, don’t forget to switch between the Bluetooth and receiver modes when switching between the devices to use your mouse.

That means whenever you want to use the mouse with the Bluetooth device, you must change your mouse to Bluetooth mode through the mode switch button. The same goes for the receiver connection.

Change The USB Port/Adapter

As mentioned in the text, you might want to use the USB adapter while using the receiver connection (depending on the ports available in your connecting device). If your Pebble mouse USB receiver isn’t pairing successfully, try changing the adapter and use a different USB port to see if it helps.

In conclusion I hope the tips and troubleshooting steps in this article will help you make your Logitech Pebble mouse work seamlessly with minimal frustration.
