This tool calculates the Output Power of an Amplifier. It also calculates the RMS (root-mean-square) output voltage.
Enter:
- Input Power (Watt)
- Amplifier Gain (dB)
- Output Impedance (Ω)
Formula
Pout = Pin*Gain
VRMS = √(Pout*R)
Example Calculation
For an input power of 100 Watt and Gain of 20 dB, the output power is 10,000 Watt. If the output impedance is 50 ohm, the RMS output voltage is 707 Volt.
