Current Through Voltage Divider Calculator

This tool calculates the current through a voltage divider network consisting of any number of resistors.


  • Voltage (Vin)
  • Resistance (R1, R2, R3, etc.)


Using Ohm’s Law, the total current is given by

Itotal = Vin/(R1+R2+R3+…)

Example Calculation

If R1= 1 ohm, R2 = 1.75 ohm, R3 = 2.25 ohm and Vin = 5 Volt, the total current is 1 Amp.
